Three Roller sugar cane milling is a crude principle, squeezing and Compressing the prepared cane. Cane juice gushes out from point of Compression to around 360 deg, wherever a passage is made available. Imagine a line passing through centre lines of top and bottom Rollers and the maximum compression point is in the same line.

Theoretically a crusher roller demands properties like fairly high hardness with good machinability and high friction coefficient to grip the cane. These properties must not deteriorate as the roller wears out. Metallurgically these properties are contradictory in nature and hence practive a balance is to be chosen for satisfactory performance of the roller. We have developed a special composition which will impart the exact characteristics to the shell with special open grain.
